How to Cultivate a Positive Mindset in 2021
The holidays can be a stressful time for all of us – especially after this past year which seemed to pull
the rug out from under all of us! How can we get back on track for 2021? Here is our list of ways to
change your outlook to move into this new year with optimism and grace.
Turn Failures into Lessons
“Failure is the gateway to success.” You aren’t perfect. No one is. You’re going to make mistakes and
experience failure in multiple ways throughout your life. Instead of focusing on how you failed, think
about what you’re going to do next time—turn your failures into a lessons. This way you never truly
fail, you grow.
Recognize the Power of Your Thoughts
Being mindful of your thoughts can help decipher when you are creating a mindset of scarcity or of
abundance. By taking time to notice what type of thoughts are circulating in your head, you can begin
to make a conscious effort to shift your thoughts towards abundance. Ask yourself, “Are my thoughts
about this based in fear and scarcity?” “What do I need to do to shift my mindset to abundance?”
Avoid getting trapped in the victim mentality by thinking the wrong thoughts or asking yourself the
wrong questions.
Start a Daily Gratitude Practice
It may sound corny, but an easy and beneficial way to fall asleep each night is to note one thing you are
grateful for that contributes to each letter of the alphabet. For example, C – “I am grateful for cookies
because they make my home smell amazing and remind me of childhood.” Try to think of something
new to be thankful for each night. This way your mind gets a break from the constant spiral and shifts
focus to what brings you the most peace. You’ll be asleep before you know it!
Share Your Passions and Purpose
Understanding and creating confidence in the things you are both great at and love to do is an excellent
way to build belief in yourself. Learn how to share your gifts and provide value by serving those who
would benefit most. Confidently share what you do or what you love through your presence online or
in person. There are millions of different groups out there full of people just like you who want to
connect and grow through common interests. Join some and see what groups resonates most. Make
2021 the year you find your tribe and/or add value to someone else’s life. Build confidence through
contribution!
Practice Extreme Self-Care with Chiropractic
We could all be a little bit gentler on ourselves right now after the year we have had. One of the most
important ways you can ensure you’re taking care of yourself is to schedule regular visits to a
chiropractor. Your spine health is so important. Adjustments keeps us healthier and makes us feel better
overall. One benefit that many report after getting care is that they simply feel better. They feel as
though they have more energy, greater concentration, and a healthier body in general. This is because
the spine is directly linked to so many other functions in the body. By keeping the spine healthy, you’re
also promoting the health of all of these other systems, which leaves you feeling better than ever
before. Call or visit us at Evoke Spinal Care today (925) 523-1022! A little self-care can go a long way.
Quotes to Remember in the New Year:
“Where you are a year from now is a reflection of the choices you make today.”
“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.”
“We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.” Choose the right people!
“If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you
are at peace you are living in the present.”
